Stephen F. Segundo

With nearly twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, Stephen F. Segundo leads Private Wealth Group, LLC with extensive expertise in manager analysis, portfolio construction and risk management. Prior to founding the diversified investment advisory firm in 2002, Mr. Segundo served as President of Segundo & Company, a firm specializing exclusively in alternative investment manager due diligence and assisting institutions and high net worth individuals in the construction and integration of portfolios of such managers into their overall asset allocation strategies. Before founding Segundo & Company in 1998, Mr. Segundo served as Director of Institutional Client Services at Strome Investment Management, L.P., a prominent global macro and multi-strategy hedge fund manager. Prior to entering the alternative investment community, Mr. Segundo served as Analyst, and, subsequently, Associate Consultant, at Wurts & Associates, Inc., a West Coast regional institutional investment consulting firm. There, Mr. Segundo performed portfolio analysis on, and consulted to, many of the firm’s Taft-Hartley pension fund clients. Mr. Segundo served as a Captain in the United States Army Infantry after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Economics. He holds the NASAA Series 65 and NFA Series 3 professional licenses. Mr. Segundo is also the founder and Managing Member of Liquid Alpha Technologies, LLC, a firm specializing in the development of algorithmic trading systems for the financial services industry.
